Imagism, Poetic Style
I love poetry though it has never been a skill I felt I’d mastered in the least; yet knowing that I haven’t tried as hard as I should have done, but in all my attempts the confirmation that I couldn’t apply the skill was apparent.
I gave up thereafter, only working on prose, which presented even more difficulties!
The difference is now I feel braver. It is important how the work is received but more so it’s delivery – I suppose, I just have to keep at it – it’s bound to develop in the correct way
I’m planning a series of Studies through the Imagist poetic style: Still life-like compositions through condensed imagery, and hope to include illustrations to compliment them. Where I can.
The Corset – I’m happy with it. I was told that it was a poem of the Imagism movement
